Fire Sculptures
- I developed two fire sculptures as part of Therm and the Firegarden
collective. The intricate metal sculptures are remotely operated
to create dynamic flame effects by manipulating the fuel-air mixtures
and additives. Using my control
panel, I control the amount of fuel, where it is delivered
into the combustion chamber, and the volume of forced air that is
introduced. I can also control how and when the spark is delivered.
By manipulating these variables, I play the sculpture as both a
visual and musical instrument for a very unique performance.
